Milestone: Environmental Impact Assessment Clearance Received

The Federal Ministry of Environment issues final EIA clearance for the Nsulu airport site.

The Abia State International Airport has achieved a significant regulatory milestone by receiving its final Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) clearance certificate. This follows extensive studies on the project's impact on local biodiversity and water tables.

Sustainability Commitment

The EIA report includes a comprehensive management plan for runoff and noise pollution. The government has committed to preserving green belts within the airport's 1,325-hectare layout to mitigate the carbon footprint of future aviation activities.

Construction Proceeding

With this clearance, all legal and environmental hurdles for full-scale vertical construction (terminal buildings and hangars) have been cleared, allowing the project to move into its final structural phase.
