Governor Alex Otti has commissioned the newly built Umuahia Central Bus Terminal, officially naming it the Prof. Nnenna Oti Central Bus Terminal in honor of the electoral returning officer’s legendary integrity during the 2023 polls. This world-class facility completely reimagines how commuters move across the state.

Designed by Planet Projects to meet international standards, the terminal accommodates over 340 buses simultaneously. Travelers can enjoy premium comforts, including:

Eco-Friendly Transit and the Airport Connection

The terminal serves as the primary hub for Abia’s new fleet of eco-friendly electric vehicles, the Abia Green Shuttle buses. In an exciting development for future air travelers, this centralized terminal is designed to seamlessly integrate with the upcoming Abia State International Airport. Once the airport is operational, the terminal will provide dedicated, scheduled shuttle services directly to the airport terminal, allowing passengers from Umuahia and surrounding areas to transit smoothly from bus to flight without the hassle of unorganized motor parks.
